I posted this photo a couple of years ago on my writing blog and I thought I’d bring it here because I really love this shot. Plus it reminds me of being there. Nepal is very dear to my heart… I posted the photo along with this poem:

The catalyst’s eye
Forges a burning cleft
As the raptor feeds
On carrion lies

The crystalline gaze
Breaks placid serenity
Sinking through the battlegrounds
And blood stained festering scars

It falls

And falls

And falls

And lands

Smack into the middle of everything

The dam cannot keep the crows back

Rippling
From the center
Gentle waves become a tsunami
Forging rivers
In the long dried
Ancient cracks
That lie
Beneath the stone

I am in the process of building this website…I moved to a new server, changed back to my old dot com address, rerouted the old dot net address so that it lands here and now am in the process of creating something that works well for all visitors as well as myself. My old site had some big problems and was really just not very fun to go to, for me or anyone. Load time was very slow for instance, even to fix things on the site from the back end it took forever.  I finally gave up and put up all my art on Facebook instead. And I like Facebook quite a bit, but I needed a home where I could control the look and feel of the place…so thanks for stopping by and being patient while I build a site that is worthy of your time.
